Who is Edisto Gas?

Edisto Gas is a family-owned propane company serving South Carolina and western North Carolina. We started in Orangeburg, were incorporated in 1964, and are still owned and run by the Keenan family. Carolina owned. Not Wall Street.

Where do you deliver propane?

We deliver to every ZIP code in the counties our eight local offices serve, from Orangeburg, Columbia, Holly Hill, Walterboro, Sumter, Chester and Spartanburg in South Carolina to Waynesville in western North Carolina, plus the Charleston area. See the locations and service area page for every county and town, or call 1.800.892.3016.

Do you serve Charleston?

Yes. Charleston County north of I-26 and Berkeley County are served by our Holly Hill office and Moncks Corner bulk plant. Charleston County south of I-26 and Dorchester County are served by our Walterboro office and Ravenel bulk plant. More about the Charleston area.

How do I become an Edisto Gas customer?

New residential and business customers sign up online through our customer portal, MyFuelPortal. Enter your address to confirm we deliver to you and start your account. You can also call your local office.

How do I switch propane companies?

Sign up with us and we take it from there. If your tank belongs to your current supplier, we send them a notice of customer change, set one of our tanks and handle the switch for you. It's seamless. One propane company cannot fill a tank owned by another company. We do a safety inspection for every new customer at no charge. Read our guide: How to switch propane companies in South Carolina.

Can you fill a tank I own?

Yes. We fill customer-owned tanks. If your tank belongs to another propane company, we send them a notice of customer change and set one of ours, so the switch is seamless.

Do you charge delivery fees, hazmat fees or fuel surcharges?

No. Edisto Gas does not charge delivery fees, hazmat fees or fuel surcharges. We do have minimum usage fees, and a gas check fee applies if a customer runs out of gas. Automatic delivery customers whose account is current are not charged a gas check fee.

What happens if I run out of propane?

Call us. When a tank runs empty, the system must be leak-checked before gas is turned back on, which is a safety requirement. If you run out, a gas check fee applies. That includes customers who call in their own deliveries, such as COD and prepay accounts. Automatic delivery customers whose account is current and not on hold are not charged. Automatic delivery or Edisto TankConnect monitoring helps you avoid running out.

What size propane tanks do you install for homes?

Residential tanks range from 120 to 500 gallons. We size the tank to your appliances, including heat, water heating, cooking, fireplaces, generators and pool heaters, and handle the installation.

Do you offer automatic delivery?

Yes. You can choose automatic delivery, where we schedule fills for you, or call when you need propane.

What is Edisto TankConnect?

TankConnect is remote tank monitoring. Our techs install a small cellular monitor on your tank that sends its level to your phone. You can check your level and request deliveries in the Edisto Gas app. It costs $60 per tank per year, billed to your Edisto Gas account. Learn more about TankConnect.

How do I pay my bill or request a delivery?

Log in to MyFuelPortal or the Edisto Gas app to pay your bill, request a delivery and manage your account any time.
